Happy Birthday Nat!!!

Natalie & I have worked together for a few years now, but we didn’t become close friends until recently, so sad I didn’t realize before what a rad person she is (yes, I used the word rad), it's ok though, because we're catching up fast! She’s smart, funny, witty, and beautiful both inside and out…but my favorite quality is the fact that she could appreciate my crazy self, put up with all my neurotic thoughts and specially follow my stories even though they’re all over the place:)We have a lot of fun together! Oh yeah, a couple more things, she can bake like nobody’s business and has really cute style! Happy Birthday lady!

2. What inspires you:
Love, Life, music… well I feel kinda goofy saying it but being loved and loving….in all of my relationships. Love from friends, Love from family and the romantic kind too. They all produce a certain kind of energy that sustains us. Each brand of Love uniquely different from each other…like a strand of fresh water pearls…each separate but all very much connected and no two perfectly alike. And life…all that in tales including the happy times, the heartbreak, the unknown…the hope that we find in each new day. How we are all part of such a huge picture. So intertwined. It’s so trivial but I love to ponder such things because I find it terribly interesting! And music…aaah…the soundtracks of our lives. What else can I say that you don’t already know yourself. Music infuses each day, sometimes minute to minute, with emphasized emotion. It can lift your spirits when you feel down, indulge your mopyness when that’s what you’d prefer. Take you back to moments in your life at every stage: childhood, school days, boyfriends, friends, school dances, heartbreaks, vacations, etc-if you’re so lucky. My ipod might as well be connected straight to my heart because it is so very vital to my existence…I almost left it in Tennessee and remembered it on my way to the airport. I made my uncle turn back. I couldn’t bear to go a week without it! I’d do better without makeup for a week for crying out loud and lets be honest I’d be a wreck without make-up so you can imagine!
3. Where would you like to travel:
Anywhere in Europe would be exciting but I’d settle for a camp ground in the great outdoors!
4. What are your sweet indulgences:
Perfume & chocolate
5. Favorite pastime or hobby:
Hmmm…reading and finding new music to love…hangin’ with the familia or friends. Dancing…with myself and singing very poorly!

I need a dollar, a dollar is what I need...

I love "How to make it in America" on HBO...Totally addicted to the show. It's about Ben Epstein (Bryan Greenberg) & Cam Calderon (Victor Rasuk) trying to make it in the fashion world in New York...I love the story line, the characters, the chemistry, and the music is the cherry on top! I also got a baby crush on Ben, he's so adorable. So sad the season finale is already here:(

weekend update...

Saturday, we woke up, took the puppy to visit the grandparents, visited the new baby, visited with the soon to be parents Loren & Michelle, then I was off to a naughty party at my best friend Grace's house, it was a fun day! Today we stayed in, except for doing a little grocery shopping in the morning. Now it's time for dinner, my hubby made lamb with a red wine reduction, boiled potatoes, and roasted asparagus and mushrooms. Lucky me;)

Zane is a big brother!!! Zoe Ann Perine was born in the early hours of March 25th, 2010, weighed 6 lbs 13 oz, 19 inches. She's beautiful;) Congratulations Katie & Lee!

I've had alot going on lately...we all get preoccupied with our own lives. As you may have noticed, I've been enjoying myself some wine, not because I'm a bad mom, because I'm not. I've been avoiding the topic. James & I went to our first prenatal appointment a few weeks ago, while having the ultrasound, we were informed that there was no heartbeat. Yes, we were heart broken. We were very excited about becoming parents. However, I do believe that there was a reason for all of this, and though I was very angry at first at our misfortune, I feel better now. I went through the motions, and after alot of thought, I've come to realize that it just wasn't our time. James & I are lucky to have eachother and this experience will only make us grow. I apologize, I hate to get so serious but I feel that I needed to write about this to be able to put it behind me, I truly am a very lucky individual, I am surrounded by much love, happiness, and good fortune. I'm thankful every day that I get to give it another shot at a new day.

We're dog people!!!

Who knew? We got the cutest little puppy, he's a shih-tzu poodle, he's 10 weeks, his name is Teddy Troubles...He was our birthday gift, thanks Alex!

It was a good night...

James & I had a nice intimate night at home last night, we sat out on our back patio, had a fire on, played some Pink Martini on Pandora, played scrabble, and he tasted me on different wines. I got spoiled...this was my favorite;)

Good times...as cliché at it sounds, its the only way to put it.

For our birthdays, James & I hosted a party at our home, I put together a big spread of appetizers, and Katie & Meghan brought over the sweets. It was all very casual, had good wine, shared many laughs, and had good conversation. It was a fun time, so nice to be surrounded by all the smiling faces, we are so blessed to have such wonderful friends and family.

One step forward, three steps back...

While watching Grey's tonight (like I do every Thursday night), I was taken back by Meredith's quote at the end of the show, I always enjoy them, but this one in particular really hit home, its hope...
